As your hair splinters and crawls with lice

captivate attention
and satiate solitude
all these nothing tubes of gas
hoping the dust will crackle soon

cognition blunted, no contours at all
slowly blinded // drained // unnatural

sanguine and vibrant culture so antique

of war in manufactured peace?
Will hatred creeping over you
crush you to benign retreat?
The stigma just grows stronger for
a language that evades contempt
your apparition suffocated
rendered delusion to lament
